Age Suitability

DiShu is for people 16 and over, everywhere it is available.

The rule

You need to be at least 16 to hold a DiShu account, or older where the law of your country requires it. There is one minimum age for every country DiShu ships in, not a different one per region.

How DiShu checks

When you sign in, DiShu asks Apple for your age range: whether you are under 16, 16 to 17, or 18 and over, and whether that range was declared by you, by a parent or guardian, or confirmed by Apple. DiShu never sees or asks for your date of birth.

Without a shared age range there is no account. If the range is under 16, DiShu does not create an account or sign you in. If we learn that an existing account belongs to someone under 16, we delete it.

Why 16

Public notes, profiles, and likes make DiShu a social app. Some countries set 16 as the minimum age for social apps, and none of the places DiShu ships in set a higher one for everyone. Choosing 16 everywhere means DiShu never needs to work out where you live, never collects a birthdate, and never has to take an account away later because the rule changed under it.
